Acceleration Art & Photography Gallery is an arts organization founded by artists in 2013.
Acceleration is committed to providing opportunities for artistic innovation for emerging and established artists.

Must haves:
• Self-starting attitude.
You must be able to see the big picture of a project and accomplish the micro-level tasks that lead to a successful outcome without micromanagement. We need to be able to tell you something once and have it done in the near future.

• Interest in the art community.
Deep knowledge is not required, but you must have an interest and some familiarity with the local art community ...or art world!

• Organization skills are a must.
A large part of your job will be administrative work and follow up; ability to track daily work and attention to detail is key!

• Excellent written and phone communication skills.
We are in field of sales and our business depends upon constant communication. You must be able to perform outreach via phone and written communication .

• Previous experience in a sales environment
• Familiarity with marketing tools like MailChimp, Hubspot, Hootsuite, Salesforce, etc.
• Social media acumen
• Office skills
• Experience with web/graphic design
• A creative eye
• Experience in either a personal or professional capacity in the art community

The day to day.
You will be assisting the lead coordinator and the owner of the company with the following:
> Installation and de-installation of exhibitions
> Artist relations
> Prep and management of Gallery openings and receptions; event planning 
> Fundraising
> PR & Marketing
> Gallery administration:
> Preparation of labels, artists' exhibition cards, price lists, and liability forms
> Greeting guests
> Preparation and maintenance of a clean and attractive gallery space
> Creating and management of art work inventory 
> Designing and preparing monthly email blasts
> Social media posts
> Maintenance of contacts

Interns receive hands-on experience and resume-building skills in all aspects of Acceleration gallery's operations.
Get behind the scenes of the art business. We offer a relaxed environment and we're a small team so you will be given tasks that have a real impact on the business; there won't be any busy work here.  Hours are flexible Wednesday thru Saturday.

This is an unpaid internship.  However, some Saturday's will be paid days and it's our mission to assist with work placement. We also offer free gallery space for interns based on availability.
